What is it?
Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation procedure that carefully removes the skin's surface with the use of a surgical scalpel blade. The blade is stroked along the skin's surface at a 45-degree angle, removing 2-3 weeks of dry, dead surface cells along with fine vellus hair, also known as "peach fuzz." Removing vellus hair is beneficial since the fine hairs trap debris and oils that give skin a dull look. Once dermaplaning is completed, you will notice that your skin care products work more effectively, penetrate the skin deeper, and allow makeup to go on smoother. We recommend receiving dermaplaning once a month for best results.
